Donovan McNabb, replaced by the Philadelphia Eagles for the second half of Monday's 36-7 defeat by the Baltimore Ravens, will be back for the next game against the Arizona Cardinals.
"Donovan McNabb will be our starting quarterback ... on Thursday (Friday NZ time)," head coach Andy Reid told reporters. "Sometimes you have to take a step back to step forward ... and Donovan will do that.
"I expect him to go and play his heart out. I need to coach better, Donovan needs to play better and the guys around Donovan need to play better."
McNabb had three turnovers in the first half against Baltimore, throwing two interceptions and losing a fumble, while completing only 8-of-18 passes for 59 yards.
The Eagles (5-5-1) trailed 10-7 at intermission. Second-year quarterback Kevin Kolb took over the reins and also tossed two interceptions in going 10-for-23 with 73 yards passing as the Ravens (7-4) amassed 24 points in the fourth quarter.
The Eagles went into the game after a 13-13 tie against the lowly Cincinnati Bengals (1-9-1).
"Nine turnovers in two games is absolutely ridiculous. It is my responsibility to get that right ... and I will do whatever it takes to do that," said Reid.
