New Zealand will have a powerful three-pronged attack on the most famous harness racing event in Australia, the A$500,000 SEW Eurodrive Miracle Mile, at the Menangle racetrack in New South Wales on Sunday.

It will be the first time the Miracle Mile will be run away from the Harold Park track.

Auckland Reactor, Monkey King and Kiwi Ingenuity will spearhead the Kiwi invasion on the prestige 1600m pacing feature.

Two-time New Zealand Horse Of The Year Auckland Reactor is having one of his final races in Australasia before heading off to the United States to campaign.

As is usually the case when campaigning his stable's horses in New South Wales, trainer Mark Purdon will base Auckland Reactor with champion horseman Brian Hancock at Tenny Lodge, Albion Park, on the South Coast.

All-conquering Kiwi horseman Tony Herlihy will be driving Auckland Reactor in the Miracle Mile.

Monkey King won the New Zealand Cup and New Zealand Free For All at Addington earlier this month in powerhouse fashion and is obviously right at the top of his game.

Kiwi Ingenuity has a big reputation and showed her fitness with an impressive trials win at Rangiora last Sunday. She was a luckless runner when seventh in the New Zealand Trotting Cup.

Kiwi Ingenuity will be heading over to David Thorn's Menangle Park property, which will give her and trainer-driver Robbie Holmes a chance to acclimatise to the track which will host Miracle Mile day on Sunday.

The best of the Australian contenders will be Australian mile record holder Smoken Up who was a brave third in the New Zealand Cup without having a great deal of luck.

Smoken Up broke the Australasian mile record at Tabcorp Park Menangle when winning the Len Smith Mile at the complex's grand opening on June 29, 2008.

Triple Interdominion Championship winner Blacks A Fake and Victorian pacer Melpark Major will also be tough to beat in Sunday's event.
