The Minnesota Vikings suffered a big scare on Monday when superstar running back Adrian Peterson collapsed to the ground in agony.
Peterson was tackled around the legs late in the fourth quarter of his side's 33-31 win over the Baltimore Ravens after catching a pass in the back-field.
He twisted his ankle awkwardly and limped from the field in obvious pain.
Speculation went wild as to the extent of his injury but after several minutes on the sideline he was back on his feet.
He even made it back into the game for three more carries, much to the relief of Vikings supporters.
Minnesota won the game 33-31 after Ravens kicker Steven Hauschka sent a 44-yard field goal wide with two seconds left on the clock.
And despite the scare, Peterson ran for 143 yards on 22 carries.
But it was veteran quarterback Brett Favre who sealed the result with a stunning late drive to get the Vikings into the red-zone - setting up Ryan Longwell for the game-winning field goal.
Favre ended the game with 278 passing yards and three touchdowns.
Peterson is currently second in the NFL with 485 yards and seven touchdowns so far this season.
Meanwhile the Vikings are now 6-0, the perfect launching pad for the playoffs.
