The bitter feud between boxer David Tua and his former manager Kevin Barry appears to be over.

ONE News broke the story two weeks ago that Barry's name was missing from new court papers filed by Tua's lawyers and Barry spoke exclusively to ONE Sport's Craig Stanaway on Saturday.

Barry has not spoken to Tua for six years and while he is not prepared to say he will work with him again, he is still full of affection for his protege.

"I was so proud of David in his last fight against Shane Cameron," says Barry.

Barry's name is missing from the latest counterclaim filed by Tua's lawyers in their long-running legal feud over money.

Barry says he is innocent of any wrong-doing.

"My name should never have been in there in the first place. I don't know what it is that I was supposed to have done... All I know is, and David Tua knows, I've never done him any wrong, so I'm happy that I don't feature in the latest claims."

Tua said two weeks ago that he had forgiven Barry a long time ago but his former manager questions why?

"He forgives me for what? For being the hardest working manager and trainer I could possibly be? You know, for 12 years David was a real part of my family. My wife and children love David Tua. I put David before my family on many occasions so I don't know what it is he's forgiving me for."

But Barry is not blaming Tua for anything either.

"I feel very, very sorry because he worked very hard... He was very successful... He trained hard, he took the blows... To be taken advantage of by the lawyers for six years... That's the crime for me."

The case returns to the High Court on Monday.
