British kicker Lloyd signs for Vikings

British-born kickoff specialist Rhys Lloyd has signed with the Minnesota Vikings, the NFL team said on Wednesday.

Lloyd, who spent the past two seasons with the Carolina Panthers, was a free agent and previously played in Minnesota for the university team.

He played for Frankfurt in NFL Europe and also had a season with the Baltimore Ravens before joining Carolina.
