Black Sticks draw Germany in World Cup

The Black Sticks have been drawn in the same pool as world and Olympic champions Germany at the World Cup, to be played in India in February.

Fresh from winning the Champions Challenge in Argentina, New Zealand were drawn with Germany on Wednesday, the Netherlands, Korea, Canada and Argentina in World Cup pool play.

Germany are ranked world No. 1, with the Netherlands fourth, Korea fifth, New Zealand eighth, Canada 11th and Argentina 14th.

Hosts India are placed in Pool B, together with Australia, Spain, England, Pakistan, India and South Africa.

The best two ranked teams in each pool make the semi-finals.
