The Evil Queen
The wickedest woman in all of Fairytale land, the Evil Queen
Regina is both beautiful and terrifying.
Regina inherited her wicked ways from her mother Cora who killed
Regina's true love, a stableboy called Daniel, to ensure Regina
would marry King Leopold.
When Regina learnt that Snow was responsible for telling Cora
about Daniel, she became determined to get revenge on
Snow White .
The Evil Queen uses her dark powers to enact a curse that will send
Snow White,
Prince Charming and everyone in Fairytale land
"somewhere horrible" and destroy all their happy endings, while the
Evil Queen will finally win.
When the cure struck, Regina became the mayor of
Storybrooke and Henry's adoptive mother. She has juggled motherhood
and her job as mayor on her own for as long as anyone can
remember.
Hugely protective of her son
Henry , she can also be overbearing and her
relationship with her son is extremely complicated. So much so that
Henry came to believe she was the Evil Queen from
his fairytales!
Regina appears cool, calm and collected but when she's provoked she
can be vicious. Regina runs Storybrooke with an iron fist.
Unlike other Storybrooke residents, Regina remembered her life
as The Evil Queen. She tried numerous times to defeat Emma
Swan and she resorted to a previous evil plan to try and get rid of
Emma for good.
She sent Emma a poisoned apple pie but to prevent Emma from eating
it, and to prove his adopted mother really is the Evil Queen, Henry
sacrficed himself and ate the pie, ending up in a coma.
A devestated Regina realised she'd gone too far and she agreed to
help Emma break the curse in order to save Henry.
Lana Parrilla plays The Evil Queen/Regina
Lana Parilla is an established actor who has had regular
roles in many different television shows including Lost, 24,
Boomtown, Spin City and most recently in TV2's Miami Medical.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Lana moved to Los Angeles to pursue her
passion for acting after graduating high school.
Fun facts:
Lana is the daughter of Sam Parrilla, a professional baseball
player for the Philadelphia Phillies in the early 1970s.
Lana has Puerto Rican and Italian heritage.
Her star sign is Cancer.
