Valerie Adams has been added to the start list of the Olympic shot put competition tomorrow after an administrative error saw her name missed from the initial line up.
Earlier this morning Adams was not included in the London
startlist for the qualifying rounds set for today, but team
officials say it was a mistake.
The matter was dealt with swiftly and has been fully resolved. The
IAAF have confirmed her name is on the list.
The official site of the Games on Sunday did not include the 2008 Beijing Games gold medallist, who also won gold in the last three editions of the world championships, as well as this year's world indoor championships.
The New Zealand Olympic Team is taking the situation extremely seriously. Right now the team is focused on competition however is committed to finding out exactly what occurred.
Adams is aware of the matter. She is focussed on competition tomorrow and is ready to go.
