The Whakatane Yellowfins were finalists in this year's Top Town series, and keen to take on the fresh challenge of a Guinness World Record attempt.

Together with their Top Town superhero the 'Energizer', the team will attempt to break a classic New Zealand Guinness World Record - smashing a piano in under 1 minute, 37 seconds.

This record was first set in Ashburton in 1977, by the Tinwald Rugby team. Many teams have since tried to break it, including a team of demolition experts on a recent Australian show, but to no avail.
The Yellowfins are not concerned about the record's longevity. "It's been around for a long time, and what a great opportunity to take a record from a South Island team and bring it to the best place in New Zealand," says team manager Ged Casey.
