The personal touch
Rachel, Ali and Jason were on show this Sunday as two contestants turned the spotlight on the NZGT judges.
First up was
Tawaroa Kawana (17) who tailored the lyrics of his performance of
I Don't Want to Talk About It to the former supermodel.
"I don’t wanna talk about it, how you broke my heart….
"But if you stay here just a little bit longer (and if you hug me after my auditions)
"You can listen to my heart…. Oh my heart, to my heart (oh Rachel) oh my heart…"
His interpretation of her ex-husband's hit song touched Rachel, causing her to surreptitiously wipe away a tear.
"The man meant a lot to me, through out my life, and you did a beautiful version so thank you..."

Next up was the Kiwi band dance group JGeeks (19-27), who personalised a segment of their routine for each judge.
Rachel was courted with a dance to Kiss, Ali was celebrated with a routine to Red, Red Wine, and Jason was jokingly given a wave while a quote from the movie Boy played.
They were rewarded with a standing ovation from Rachel, who loved the act.
"You guys are talented, hot, you have so much comedy in you. This is amazing. Amazing!"

Ali:
“You couldn't get that anywhere else in the world, right?"
Jason:
"No. So unique!"
