Group founder Jermaine Leef credits his musican dad and
singing star mum for the fact he's a born performer.
He could also list his namesake. (Mum Patricia Leef was so
enamoured with the famous Jackson 5 when she played support for
them on their 1973 tour of New Zealand that she named Jermaine
after you know who!)
The JGeeks have released several singles on Youtube, receiving a
staggering 2.5 million views. Their original track 'Maori boy' made
national news for the fastest growing NZ music video.
Jermaine describes their act as a "new age metro Maori
entertainment."
"It's the only act on NZGT that will take people on a historical,
comedic, high energy, new age Maori journey," he says.
"We are four young and talented Maori entertainers with an
animalistic Maori attitude who are going to take the competition by
storm."
