Evan has been hooked on music and performing since the age of five
when he sat down at the piano for the first time.
Twelve years on and he's also mastered the guitar, drums and
mandolin, performs publicly as a duo and with a band, and has
recently been in the recording studio putting down four original
tracks, having been penning his own songs since he was 12.
Evan has been encouraged to pursue his music by his devoted Dad -
a talented piano accordionist and ukulele player.
"Music is something I want to be involved with for the rest of my
life," says Evan.
"I believe I bring an incredible amount of passion to the table.
My enthusiasm and strong desire to persistently better myself is
what will separate me from others in this competition. Through
music I want to leave my mark - on the world!"
Evan is inspired by such singer songwriters as the legendary Jeff
Buckley and our very own Liam Finn. He also loves the blues and
blues greats like Junior Kimbrough and Eddie 'Son' House.
