A rough 'n' tough tomboy who happily admits she's never worn a dress in her life, Chelsea lives on a four-acre lifestyle block in Rotorua with her mum Alix, a teacher, and dad, a retired logger & bushman.
On turning five, Chelsea went to school for just three days!
Hating it, she complained loudly to parents and was never sent back
Instead Alix agreed to home school her leaving her dog mad daughter plenty of time to hang out with her fur buddies and teach them tricks.
"Ever since I saw Wonder Dogs on TV when I was four-years-old I decided that was what I was going to do with my dogs," she says.
Chelsea has had all four members of Dogmatic, all Border Collies, since they were six weeks old.
She works with them every day both as a pack and individually - and is in demand around the country to perform at field days and A&P shows unofficially recognised as possibly the best young dog trainer in the country.
If she wins NZGT she will buy herself a huge sheep and beef farm, a couple of big, flash new utes and indulge further in her other grand passion motor cross.
"I think New Zealanders of all ages are going to fall in love
with our special act," she says.
"It's all about the dogs. I hate being in the limelight but they love it and are always so keen to show off their new tricks."
