NZGT Grand Final: Jenny Mitchell

 

Jenny Mitchell, a 14-year-old singer/guitarist from Gore who moved the audience and judges in her Dunedin audition with a subtly beautiful rendition of the Dixie Chicks’ song ‘Godspeed (Sweet Dreams)’.

Jenny has been singing since she was little, with her muso Dad as her inspiration.

She is passionate about country music and idolises singers like Miranda Lambert.

At St Peter’s College she studies singing and guitar, and writes her own songs.

Jenny won the Junior Vocal solo section and the NZ Gold Guitar awards in 2011, and her dream is to be a famous country singer.
