There is one new cap, and a return for three former Silver Ferns in the squad announced for the Commonwealth Games and New World International series in Auckland today.
Twenty-two-year-old Grace Rasmussen has been added to the national squad after her slick midcourt display with the Northern Mystics in the ANZ Championship impressed selectors.
Competent in the goal or wing attack position, Rasmussen, younger sister of the Central Pulse's Rachel Rasmussen, has made the step up to the national team after travelling with the squad to England as a training partner in 2009.
Rasmussen's inclusion means there is no place for Tactix's shooter Anna Thompson.
There has also been a recall for Anna Scarlett.
Scarlett took time out of netball in 2007 after missing out on the New Zealand team which contested the world championships to represent New Zealand on the beach volleyball circuit with a view to securing a spot at the 2012 London Olympics.
But after a change of heart the 27-year-old has been working hard to secure a return to the Silver Ferns.
Southern Steel's Daneka Wipiiti has also made the squad for the first time since 2003, while Leana de Bruin is set to return after taking time out to have her first child in 2009.
The rest of the squad is as expected with Casey Williams set to skipper the side again.
Sharp-shooter Irene van Dyk and Laura Langman are also included, as are former captain Temepara George and the experienced Joline Henry.
Northern Mystics' Maria Tutaia makes the squad again while versitle ANZ Championship player-of-the-tournament Liana Barrett-Chase was also named.
The team is:
Liana Barrett-Chase, Leana de Bruin, Temepara George, Katrina Grant, Joline Henry, Laura Langman, Grace Rasmussen, Anna Scarlett, Maria Tutaia, Irene van Dyk, Casey Williams, Daneka Wipiiti
The Silver Ferns take on Samoa in the first game of the 2010 New World International series on August 7 in Porirua, before heading to the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India in October.
