GS - Irene van Dyk - 6/10 (13/17 shooting)
Didn't look her best, missing four shots in the first quarter. The 1.96m Fuhrmann caused real troubles for her contstantly swatting her shots away. Came back better in the second before being subbed for Daneka Wipiiti at half-time. A changing of the guard perhaps?
GA - Maria Tutaia - 5/10 (15/23 shooting)
Will want to forget the first quarter in a hurry shooting only 50%. Improved for the remainder of the match and when she is on form looks as if she can drain them from anywhere.
WA and C - Temepara George - 7/10
Put in another strong performance and was named player of the series. Fed the circle well while playing at Wing Attack before being moved to Centre in the final quarter. Partnership with Barrett-Chase wasn't as good as it has been and they struggled to deliver the ball in the final quarter.
C - Laura Langman - 7/10
Was solid but not outstanding at centre. Didn't make too many mistakes and was able to feed her shooters effectively. Was subbed for Liana Barrett-Chase at the end of the third quarter.
WD - Joline Henry - 7/10
Henry was her normal physical self tonight. Was solid in defence and gave a mostly error-free performance.
GD - Casey Williams - 8.5/10
Williams was again outstanding for the Ferns. Taking four intercepts and constantly making a nuisance of herself inside the circle.
GK - Katrina Grant - 9/10
Player of the match today and deservedly so. Made several intercepts and was strong on the rebound. Was physical on defence and had a great battle with Australian captain Sharelle McMahon in the third quarter. Will be intriguing to see who makes the Goal-keep position their own once Anna Scarlett returns from injury.
Substitutes
GS - Daneka Wipiiti - 8/10 (Shooting 12/14)
Was outstanding when she came on at half-time for van Dyk. Unfortunately they struggled to get the ball to her enough in the final quarter. Is a great option off the bench when van Dyk and Tuataia are struggling.
WA - Liana Barrett-Chase - Struggled when she came on for the final quarter. Made two mistakes which Australia capitalised on.
GA - Grace Rasmussen - Made a brief cameo but didn't fire a shot.
