Langman's outstanding pace, flair and vision are usually applied in the Centre and Wing Defence positions for the Silver Ferns, but her successful elite debut at Wing Attack in 2008 confirmed her standing as a complete mid-courter of the highest quality.
Her ability to play in different roles when required has seen become increasingly shifted into different areas of the midcourt to cover gaps left by injured players or personnel changes. Indeed she is a versatile player who thrives on a challenge.
Langman was selected for the NZ-U21 side at 16, made the Silver Ferns' squad a year later, and won her first Test cap against England in 2005, at the age of nineteen. That same year, she led New Zealand to victory in the World Youth Championships, and in 2006 won a Commonwealth Games gold medal with the Silver Ferns.
A valuable player to the Silver Ferns, she has made the court every time she has been named in the team.
In 2009 she earned her 50th Test cap against England at the age of 23, and won a gold medal with the Silver Ferns at the 2009 World Netball Series in Manchester. She was also named captain of the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic for the 2010 ANZ Championship season.
In the ANZ Championship her loyalty has remained with the Magic where she has played for the last four seasons. This year the captain has been inspirational in leading the Magic to the semi final's.
This year Langman has topped goal assists and featured highly in deflection and intercept statistics for her side.
