Well who would've predicted the result last night!
The Silver Ferns were sublime against their arch enemies, leaving Aussie coach Norma Plummer with plenty to contemplate ahead of the third and deciding test at Auckland's Vector Arena.
It was a complete performance from the Ferns, who showed plenty of class to notch up their first ever win in Wellington against the Diamonds.
Irene van Dyk out-foxed her younger opponent Susan Furhman, who monstered the veteran in the first test. After copping a mouthful from opposite Mo'onia Gerrard in the lead-up to the test, Maria Tutaia showed her disdain for the Aussie defender by moving decisively in and around the circle and going to the post from out wide.
Player of the match Temepara George showed her athletcism and silky smooth skills after a fairly quiet first test - by her standards that is.
It was a welcome return to the court for Anna Scarlett, who relished the chance to play GK behind her skipper Casey Williams. The pair proved formidable smothering the experienced Australian frontline, collecting intercepts and forcing the usually slick attack into mistakes.
Having spoken to a few of the Silver Ferns this morning, you'll
be pleased to know they were 'chuffed' about last night's result
but they know what's more important is how they back up their
performance in the decider on Sunday.
