Australian Diamonds v Silver Ferns in Adelaide at 9.30pm
Head to head: Australia 61 New Zealand 41 Drawn 2
Last clash:Silver Ferns beat Australia 49-48 in Perth
TAB: Australia $1.58, Silver Ferns $2.25
The Silver Ferns have a chance to avenge some of their World Championship heartbreak by wrapping up the Constellation Cup with a win in Adelaide tonight.
The Ferns defence was exceptional in the first Test in Perth on Sunday with the long arms of Anna Scarlett and Leanna de Bruin causing massive problems for the Australian shooters.
Acting captain Catherine Cox struggled to figures of 14/23 and Australian coach Lisa Alexander will have to decide whether to pull her tonight for the younger Caitlin Bassett who has produced back to back quality performances under pressure against the Ferns.
In contrast the New Zealand shooting circle was effective with Irene van Dyk as reliable as ever, while Maria Tutaia landed some outrageously long shots, including the pressure shot to win the Test.
Van Dyk's work under the post picking up Tutaia's rebounds was also outstanding.
New Silver Ferns coach Wai Taumaunu will want to see her side play with high intensity for the full 60 minutes after they gave up a 10 point lead to allow Australia back into the match in the closing stages.
It's not the first time this year the Ferns have given up a lead and they will not be able to sit back and allow the Diamonds - and the Adelaide crowd - back into the game.
Don't expect to see to many personnel changes in the Ferns, although there is the possibility of Kayla Cullen getting more court time at wing defence as she did in the first Test.
Goal shoot Cathrine Latu may also be used late in the match.
