An international peace march has begun in Wellington on the birthdate of the world's most famous peace activist, Mahatma Gandhi.
Wellington was given the honour of the starting point because of New Zealand's international reputation as a peaceful nation.
A core group of 25 marchers will trek through 95 countries in 90 days.
The march will pass through war-torn territories including Israel and Bosnia. It will finish up in Argentina.
