A violent teenager is being hunted by police in Auckland.

Conan Livingstone, 19, is being sought after he failed to appear in court on January 31 this year on aggravated robbery charges using a firearm.

Livingstone was originally remanded in custody before being granted electronic bail to an address in Ranui in West Auckland, where he has previously absconded from.

Livingstone has links to Torbay, Browns Bay and Albany, and police are locating his known associates in an effort to find him.

Detective Sergeant Steve Brewer said the teen is 176 centimetres (cm) tall, of chubby build and has distinctive tattoos on his neck, arms and upper body.

Brewer said Livingstone should not be approached, and anyone who may have seem him, or knows of his whereabouts, is urged to contact police on 09 477 5103 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
