Film crews capture Mt Tongariro eruption.

Children flee as Mt Tongariro erupts.

ONE News flew over the crater shortly after today's eruption.

Skydive company TTS captured the eruption from the air.

Today's eruption lasted five minutes, senior volcano geophysicist Steve Sherburn told ONE News.

GNS Science captured these first pictures as Mount Tongariro erupted at around 1.25pm this afternoon.
