An upmarket decile 10 Auckland primary school has been attacked for the way it handled two separate complaints of bullying.
Victoria Avenue school in Remuera has been criticised in independent reports commissioned by its board of trustees.
In one case a 10-year-old boy was pushed up against a wall and "humped".
The mother complained, but before her son's case was heard the school approached and met with the other boy's family in what the report described as a process so badly biased it re-victimised the child.
In another case a nine-year-old boy was repeatedly bullied - including having his face ground into the dirt.
That report said the school had no system in place to deal with bullying appropriately and failed to keep the families informed.
