Two young men have been rescued from their flooded four wheel drive in Blenheim.
Emergency services were called to Hammerichs Road just after 5.30pm.
The men were trapped in their four wheel drive ute by deep water.
Blenheim Volunteer Fire Brigade Deputy chief fire officer Dion Partridge said a safety line was tied around a fire fighter, who walked out to the vehicle.
He said the rope was tied to the vehicle and the men were taken out of it.
Partridge said they held onto the rope with the firefighter behind them until they got to dry ground.
