Two police officers are investigating former All Black Robin Brooke's alleged groping of a 15-year-old Auckland girl and the choking of the 17-year-old boy who came to her aid beside the Hilton Denarau swimming pool on New Year's Eve, Fiji police say.
Sergeant Suliano Tevita said on Wednesday that he was unable to say when the investigation would be completed and a decision made on whether or not charges would be laid.
He said that officers were still speaking to staff at the hotel and other possible witnesses.
Brooke, owner of the New World supermarket in the Tauranga suburb of Gate Pa, returned to New Zealand on January 8.
He allegedly grabbed the girl's bottom while she was pool-side with two friends.
When her 17-year-old friend tried to intervene, Brooke allegedly threw him on a deckchair and grabbed his throat.
Brooke has refused to comment on the alllegations.
A supermarket spokesman said he was not due to return to work until the end of the month.
