A special memorial service is to be held in Auckland for those who lost their lives in the tsunami that devastated Samoa and Tonga in late September.
Prime Minister John Key says families of the New Zealand victims and the wider Pacific community are all invited to take part.
He says it is fitting to remember the New Zealanders, Samoans and Tongans who died, by way of a national memorial service.
It will begin at 4pm, in the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Parnell.
Meanwhile, a cheque for $315,000, made up of donations from the public, has been handed to Samoa's government.
The sum was collected for tsunami relief, in donations to Westpac Bank branches over the past five weeks.
Pacific Cooperation Foundation chairman Fa'amatuainu Tino Pereira says it's a stunning amount, and shows how generous New Zealanders can be.
