Two people have been taken to hospital after a truck crashed into a Porsche dealership in the Auckland suburb of Newmarket.
Emergency services were called to the accident outside Continental Car Services on Great South Road about 11.30am.
Police say a truck travelling towards Manukau crashed into a van. The truck spun, smashing into another truck which was unloading a car at the Porsche dealership.
The driver and passenger of the van, and the driver of the truck were injured, but only two of the victims were taken to Auckland Hospital.
Half a dozen luxury cars were damaged, at a cost of around $100,000.
"It is unfortunate that someone was actually seriously hurt in the truck but fortunate that it occured at the time of day that it did," said Mark Bycroft from Continental Car Services.
"Friday is a busy day around this part of town, there was minimum damage considering what could have really happened," Bycroft said.
Part of Great South Road is still closed, with the crash causing major traffic delays.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and say charges are likely.
