The annual Balloons over Wairarapa festival will go ahead, in spite of the Carterton tragedy.
The future of the festival had been uncertain after a balloon crashed near Carterton on Saturday January 7. All 11 people on board the balloon died.
But organiser Jonathan Hooker says this year's festival may be even bigger than usual.
The festival will begin on March 8 with a special memorial flight for those killed in the Carterton balloon crash.
Nursing students Chrisjan Jordaan, aged 21 of Wellington and girlfriend Alexis Still, aged 19 of Wellington, were killed in the crash.
The other victims are: Pilot Lance Hopping, 53, Wellington
couple Howard and Diana Cox, aged 71 and 63, Masterton couple
Desmond and Ann Dean, aged 65 and 70, cousins Valerie Bennett, 70,
of Masterton, and Denise Dellabarca, 58, of Paraparaumu, Lower Hutt
couple Stephen Hopkirk, 50, and Belinda Harter, 49.
