A woman was taken to Auckland Hospital with serious injuries following an incident on the city's western train line that disrupted peak hour services.
Ambulance communications told ONE News they believed the train clipped the woman, aged in her thirties.
She was in a serious condition when paramedics arrived and then deteriorated, but they were able to stabiliser her before she was taken hospital.
Auckland Transport says the incident happened at 3.45pm, 50 metres east of Henderson Station.
Western Line services would be terminating at New Lynn due to the emergency services callout at Henderson, Auckland Transport said.
