The prize for the country's top chip shop has been awarded to Oceanz in Silverdale, 35km north of Auckland.
Oceanz was voted number one in this year's best chip shop competition, beating winners from five other regions to take the title.
Chip shops were judged on the freshness and colour of their chips, shop cleanliness and customer service, and the chips were also sent away for fat analysis.
Regional finalists were decided through public text voting, mystery judging and chip fat analysis.

The other regional finalists were The Chip Shop in the Auckland suburb of Royal Oak, Oppie's Fish and Chips, Rotorua, So Fine Seafood, Lower Hutt, The Sands Fish and Chips, Nelson, and Portobello Store and Takeaway, Dunedin.
