Toni Street says she is delighted to be the new co-host of TV ONE's Breakfast programme.
The former ONE News sport and Saturday Breakfast presenter will join Rawdon Christie on the couch in 2013.
"I'm very excited to be here. I can't wait for next year," she told Breakfast this morning.
"It will be a little bit hard leaving my bubby, but I'll be home all day."
TVNZ Head of News and Current Affairs Ross Dagan said Street has "proven herself to be an incredibly warm, engaging and intelligent presenter".
"While she is no stranger to our viewers, we are pleased to welcome her permanently to the weekday Breakfast family," said Dagan.
"I'm really excited about joining Breakfast fulltime. Rawdon and I launched Saturday Breakfast together, so it will be awesome to be back on the couch with him again. We've got lots of new and exciting ideas for next year, I can't wait to be part of it," she said.
Street and husband Matt France welcomed a baby daughter, Juliette Ellen, in October.
