Tom McRae - Source: Breakfast
Tom McRae is a ONE News reporter based in Christchurch.
Tom joined TVNZ in August 2007 while he completed a journalism course at Auckland's AUT. His first position was on the assignments desk before taking up a Breakfast role at the start of 2009. He moved to the 6pm news in July 2009.
Among Tom's life experience on the way to a journalism career were jobs as a hand model in a beer commercial and bartending in a bar made almost entirely of ice.
He may be new to Christchurch, but has already found himself out on the farm, up the Port Hills, wandering the Botanic Gardens... not to mention hanging out with the Crusaders and the boy racers!
