Queenstown people are now trying to salvage their flooded businesses, a potential slip above Frankton Hill is of concern to authorities, with six houses under the hill having been evacuated, a much needed food convoy was escorted through the Kawarau Gorge and now traffic is being allowed through the gorge in two hourly groups.

Owners of the condemned houses under the Frankton Hill slip, near Queenstown, were briefly allowed home to collect as many possessions as they could, the slip is still on the move and flood waters are still lapping at the door of many houses.
