Two youths who admitted to killing Christchurch taxi driver Abdulrahman Ikhtiari will be sentenced on Wednesday.

Ikhtiari died in December 2008 after being stabbed in his taxi in the central city.

Seventeen-year-old Shannon Boyes-Warren and 20-year-old Randall Brown will be sentenced Wednesday morning after pleading guilty at a special hearing last month.

They had been due to stand trial for Iktiari's murder just days later.

Boyes-Warren pleaded guilty to murdering the taxi driver, while Randall Brown admitted a charge of manslaughter.

Both also pleaded guilty to assault with intent to rob.
