Dunedin's new hi-tech stadium has had quite a day; a dawn ceremony, an official opening by the Prime Minister and its first streakers.

A pair of daring males attempted to interrupt Forsyth Barr Stadium's opening game between Selwyn College and long-time University of Otago rival Knox College.

Footage posted on YouTube shows a pair of naked men running towards the stadium's exit, pursued by officials before they escaped through a gate.

However, the bare-faced cheek seemed to do little to affect the concentration of the players who carried on with the game which was the first in the hi-tech $190 million ground.
