A dispute over who owns some pieces of art by Ralph Hotere has been partially resolved.
Annette Ferguson has won the right to sell 23 of the 60 paintings under question.
The artwork was supposed to be sold at auction in September but it was cancelled after Hotere challenged their ownership.
Art and Object auctioneer Ben Plumbly says they will be put under the hammer on Thursday in Auckland. He says the 23 art pieces have an estimated worth of $150,000-$200,000.
Plumbly says he doesn't know what is happening in relation to the other 37 paintings.
