Snowfall warning for parts of NZ

MetService has issued snowfall warnings for parts of the country.

The Desert Road, Rimutaka Hill Road and Porters Pass are expected to have snow showers on Monday.

They say snow showers on the Desert Road may continue into Tuesday with a dumping of five to ten centimetres possible on Monday and overnight.

The Desert Road remains closed.
