Sharks spotted off Orewa Beach

A group of sharks have been spotted swimming at Orewa Beach, north of Auckland on Sunday afternoon.

Tini Cannell from the SkyCity Beach Patrol says the sharks are swimming pretty close to bathers, some within 50 metres.

He is warning swimmers to keep their distance from the sharks.
