The next big event on the fashion calendar, the iD Dunedin fashion show, has chosen its face for its 2010 event - local girl Nicole Clulee.
Clulee is currently surging ahead in her modelling career. She has already done New York Fashion Week and London Fashion Week, but the 18-year-old from rural Otago says she jumped at the chance to be the face of Dunedin Fashion Week.
"It's home, and I love doing stuff here, because it's always so much more relaxed than overseas," Clulee says.
And Clulee is soon off to carve an even bigger slice of the international modelling pie.
"(I'm going to) either Tokyo, Singapore, London or maybe Sydney, and then I'm off to New York in March."
iD Fashion Show organisers hope Clulee's image will boost theirs, as sponsorship was particularly tight this year.
"It's always difficult," says chairperson, Susie Staley. "Particularly because many events are difficult ... and if you're talking about international sides of fashion, people are booked up years in advance."
