Protestors hit the streets of Wellington in protest against the violence in Gaza and called on the New Zealand government to take a tougher stance against the Israeli army's incursion.
Around 200 young and old marched through the capital's CBD in protest against the blood shed in the Gaza strip.
Outside the foreign affairs and trade head office, Green MP Keith Locke called on its minister to condemn the Israeli offensive.
"I ask Murray McCully how many bodies of children sticking out of the ruins, how many homes being destroyed, does it take till he will criticise directly what the Israeli government is doing to the people of Gaza," Locke says.
However McCully stands by his call for both sides to cease firing.
With the casualty toll continuing to rise, a Palestinian living in New Zealand Oday Mefleh fears for his family in Gaza.
"It is a crime against humanity for destruction of this sort to be going on," says Bishop Richard Randerson, Anglican Church.
