Police are investigating a third attempt to lure children into a vehicle by a man on Auckland's North Shore.
On Wednesday afternoon, a nine-year-old girl was offered a lift
by an unknown man in a white two door vehicle.
Yesterday, two 13-year-old girls were approached in Red Beach by a man fitting the same description, again offering a ride.
Both girls declined and their parents and police were notified.
And on Monday, a five-year-old boy in Greenhithe was allegedly grabbed by the man, but the boy managed to get away.
The man has been described as aged in his 40s with wavy hair. However the description of the type of vehicle driven differs in the two incidents.
Detective Senior Sergeant Brett Batty says inquiries are now underway to establish any links between the incidents.
"The motives of the person or persons involved may well be innocent, but it is timely to remind people that these sorts of offers, though done with the best of intentions can often be misconstrued. We are keeping an open mind on these events."
