Police are investigating the disappearance of a Rotorua woman.
Michelle Hoffman-Tamm, 51, left her Phillip Street home in Rotorua on her red bike on November 7.
She was believed to be going to visit friends a few blocks away, but never arrived.
Police have been unable to confirm possible sightings of Hoffman-Tamm in the Glenholme and Ngongotaha areas of Rotorua.
"This is still a missing person inquiry and we haven't given up hope that there is a plausible explanation for Michelle's disappearance but each day that passes with no news increases our concern for her safety," said Detective Senior Sergeant Zane Smith.
"We certainly cannot rule out that something more untoward has happened to her. We have conducted a number of searches, numerous enquiries and have had officers going door-to-door and that work that is continuing," said Smith.
Hoffman-Tamm is described as European, approximately 5 foot tall, of medium build. She currently has short dark hair.
Her red mountain style bike also remains missing.
"I appeal to anyone with the slightest piece of information to contact us. It doesn't matter how irrelevant the information may seem; let us judge its relevance," said Smith.
