Otaki man charged after drugs bust

A 44-year-old Otaki man will appear in court next week after a joint police-Customs drugs bust in the Horowhenua town on Thursday morning.

He is charged with importing cannabis seeds, possession of cannabis, and possessing instruments for cannabis.

Neither police nor Customs could confirm the exact quantities seized, but chief customs officer Kirk McPherson says the haul "was not huge".
