One dead after vehicle rolls on SH2

A vehicle which rolled south of Pahiatua on Wednesday night killed one of its occupants.

The crash happened at about 7.40pm on State Highway 2, about 60km east of Palmerston North, and the person died at the scene.

Police, fire and ambulance services attended and the road was closed for a short period while police carried out a scene examination.

The cause of crash is not immediately available, and police are still investigating.
