The Department of Conservation is considering submissions made to the draft Mount Aspiring National Park management plan.
Over 400 submissions have been received by the Otago Conservancy, mainly concerning aircraft use, hunting issues and how best to preserve the special character of the park.
To take the submissions into account, the department has amended the plan, which now must be approved by the New Zealand Conservation Authority.
The Department of Conservation expects it to be several months before the plan is approved.
