An extra 20 staff have been assigned to work on the case involving missing Auckland toddler Aisling Symes.

Police spokesman Kevin Loughlin says the additional officers are from Counties Manukau and Auckland City.

Loughlin says a police caravan has been set up outside the Pak 'N Save in Henderson if anyone has any information they would like to give to police. He says they have had a lot of calls from the public to their 0800 number.

Police are talking to shoppers outside the supermarket and are canvassing the area again, talking to local residents.

Sixty officers are now working on the search for the two year-old who has been missing from Longburn Road, Henderson since Monday evening.

Police are still struggling for clues and trying to find people seen in the area at the time she disappeared including an Asian woman with a dog.

There have also been reports of a suspicious man carrying a broken umbrella.

Loughlin says police are working through a list of persons of interest and reports of suspicious activity.
