New Zealand's largest farm, the Crown owned Molesworth station , will be open to holiday makers starting next week.
The Department of Conservation has approved a record 14 week opening of the road, which takes motorists between Blenheim and Hanmer.
Molesworth Station is New Zealand's largest farm at over 180,000 hectares and supports the country's biggest herd of cattle.
The farm contains threatened native plants and animals and unique landforms.
DOC says it is a dramatic high country drive through a legendary cattle station.
The Molesworth road will be open daily between 7am and 7pm at night until April the 3rd, weather and road conditions permitting.
