An elderly hunter has walked out of bush safe and well after being missing since Monday.
Police say 84 year-old Feilding man Roy Marston failed to meet his hunting companions near Lake Rotoroa in Nelson Lakes National Park.
Search teams scoured the area for two days and found no trace of Marston.
But at about 7pm Wednesday he arrived at a remote Tutaki Valley farmhouse, about 20ks across rugged country from the search area.
He is currently being checked at Murchison Hospital, but early indications are that he is in good health.
