Missing elderly man found safe and well

An elderly Auckland man who had been reported missing has been found safe and well.

Seventy-seven-year-old Stephen Dixon of Mt Eden was the subject of a search that involved the bringing in of search and rescue specialists.

He had been missing since 3pm Friday.
