Matt McLean - Source: ONE News
Matt joined the Close Up team in January 2012 after nearly five years at TVNZ.
He studied at the New Zealand Broadcasting School and had a brief career in radio journalism before making the move to TV.
He became a firm viewer favourite in his three years with Breakfast, after his many antics spurred on by Paul Henry. He then moved on to ONE News where he covered everything from the February 2011 Christchurch earthquake to flooding in Nelson.
His enthusiasm for people and for telling good stories is what made him want to join the Close Up team, and Matt's excited to travel the country meeting those fascinating people that make his job so fulfilling.
